For this new project I wanted to represent the infinity of human thought by associating it, drop by drop, with the infinity of the universe. In these works, I associate the physicality of the body with colored ice sculptures and the drops that result from their melting with human thought.

Observing ice sculptures on cliffs, seeing them transform and take on new life on the support is a process that fascinates me. It makes me reflect on the transience of things and on the energy that is never destroyed but which changes shape and representation.

Mattia Novello was born in Vicenza, Italy in 1985. He graduated in visual communication at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, then in Fashion Photography at the School of Visual Art in New York and in Mixed Media Art at the Parsons School in New York. Since 2011 he has been dealing with Contemporary Art ranging from painting, sculpture to installations and has exhibited his works in private galleries and international public spaces. He lives and works in Castelfranco Veneto, Treviso.
